How to Stay Cool When Working in the Heat

While it may be difficult to conceive during the long winter months, anyone working in hot temperature conditions needs to be prepared to avoid heat stress. Whether you work outside under the sun all day, or inside in a heated environment you may be at risk for the health effects of heat stress.
Heat stress can cause workers to become seriously ill, and people may succumb to heat rashes, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Much of the risk can be alleviated if workers take the time to stay hydrated and conscious of the temperature of their work environment.
