Oil Spill Prevention and SPCC Protocol

It doesn’t take a giant spill, like the Gulf of Mexico oil spill to contaminate a community’s drinking water or other body of water. Even a small spill during transportation can have enormous environmental and safety effects.
The EPA offers information on oil spill prevention and regulations effecting different organizations who deal with oil. Facilities storing and transporting oil have their own special considerations.

Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC)” provides training for workers who work with or transport oil on SPCC protocol. The course focuses on techniques for preventing oil spills, while providing discharge procedure protocols.
