Course Overview

The federal Universal Waste Rule established standards described in federal regulation 40 CFR 273. On top of the federal regulations, the state of California has their own set of Universal Waste Regulations, which are detailed in this training. This course begins by presenting the categories and respective types of Universal Wastes, as specified by the EPA and California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) regulations. This course shows employees safe work practices for handling and recycling universal waste. The course also covers emergency preparedness best practices, in case an exposure occurs. Present this course to assure all employees at your California facility can identify, handle, and manage your facility’s Universal Wastes according to the EPA Universal Waste Rule and the California DTSC.
